Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 1, 2025 | Last Updated: 7 September 2026
VPNDeals.com (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “Site”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains the data described below, the services involved, and how to contact us about your privacy rights.
1. Data Controller & Operating Jurisdiction
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and global privacy frameworks, A.M.E.X. Internet Marketing Ltd, located at Makariou III, No.9, 7530, Larnaca, Cyprus, acts as the Data Controller. We provide honest reviews, security intelligence, and exclusive deals. We do not own, operate, or sell VPN software. We earn commissions from partner links when you purchase a service through our recommendations, at no extra cost to you.
2. Information We Collect
Voluntarily Provided
-
Email address (if you subscribe or contact us)
-
Messages & Articles (submitted directly to our team)
Automatically Collected
-
IP address (temporarily for security/bot mitigation)
-
Basic Server Logs (to monitor uptime and errors)
3. How & Why We Use Your Information
We process your limited data using the following global legal justifications: Consent (to respond to your inquiries or send requested newsletters) and Legitimate Interest (to maintain website security, prevent fraudulent packet requests, and ensure our architecture remains online).
Our data-use statement
We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal data. Website hosting, security checks, contact requests, optional tool use, and affiliate destinations involve the processing described in this policy; they should not be described as involving no data at all.
4. Data Processing via WordPress Plugins
We distribute free WordPress plugins (RelatIQ, VPN Guard, Country Block). If you install these on your server architecture, please note our data processing and sovereignty standards:
RelatIQ: local matching and optional reports
RelatIQ matches article text locally on the site where it is installed. In version 3.4.2, optional reports and experiments start disabled. If enabled, events are sent to that site and daily aggregates can remain for up to 90 days. Temporary keyed IP hashes and click IDs are used for abuse prevention and deduplication; the plugin does not store raw IP addresses or create analytics cookies. Media and external links can contact their own hosts. See the RelatIQ data-handling details.
VPN Guard & Country Block
VPN Guard: visitor IPs may be sent to vpnapi.io for classification when a protected request needs a lookup. Block logs are stored on the installing site and can contain IP, request and browser information. Country Block: country lookups use a local GeoLite2 database and do not send visitor IPs to MaxMind; database downloads contact MaxMind with the administrator’s license key. Optional block logs are local. Site owners remain responsible for their configuration and notices. See VPN Guard and Country Block.
5. Network Audit Tool, Browser Extensions & IP Processing
Our website and our official browser extensions (including the “What Is My IP & WebRTC Leak Shield” Chrome Extension) feature an interactive Network Audit and IP Scanner tool designed to help users identify potential security vulnerabilities, such as exposed geolocation data and WebRTC leaks.
-
Temporary Processing: When you use this tool, your current IP address is temporarily processed to provide you with real-time security feedback. To facilitate this, your IP address is cross-referenced with IPinfo.io (for IP-network classification and approximate geolocation, not encryption verification) and Mapbox (to render the visual map interface).
-
No Permanent Logging: We do not store your IP address permanently, nor do we use it for marketing or tracking purposes. The data is cached temporarily on our secure servers solely to prevent API abuse and rate-limiting, after which it is automatically purged. A WebRTC check can also contact a Google STUN server. Map requests contact Mapbox. These services receive connection information when contacted; their own policies apply. An IP classification does not establish VPN encryption or a person’s precise location.
6. Affiliate Links and External Services
We use referral URLs to credit eligible sales. Following an affiliate link can contact a provider or affiliate network, which may process your IP address, referral information, and cookies under its own policy. See our affiliate disclosure and cookies policy.
7. Your Global Privacy Rights
Regardless of your physical jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), we grant all users universal data autonomy:
-
Access & Deletion: Request a copy of your personal data or mandate its complete erasure from our servers.
-
Withdraw Consent: Unsubscribe or revoke communication permissions at any time.
-
Lodge a Complaint: EU residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their local Data Protection Authority (DPA).
